Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This statement covers Alpha Performance Solutions Ltd (Company No. 15423395) for the financial year ending 31 January 2027. Our turnover is far below the £36 million threshold in section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, so we are not a "relevant commercial organisation" and are not required to publish a statement. We publish this one voluntarily, covering the same points.
(a) Structure, business and supply chains
Alpha is a small, director-led company based in London providing EPCs, retrofit coordination and damp and mould surveys. The director delivers the work personally. Our supply chain is short and UK-based: accreditation scheme and software, survey equipment, IT and cloud services, insurance, travel and professional services. If we use subcontract assessors or trade partners in future, the checks below apply.
(b) Policy
We have zero tolerance of slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking in our business and supply chains.
(c) Due diligence
- When we engage subcontractors or trade partners, we engage them directly and check identity, right to work, accreditation and insurance before first use.
- Everyone is paid at agreed rates, in writing, into a bank account in their own name. Nobody pays a fee to work with us.
- Subcontract terms require compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015, with a right to end the engagement if breached.
- We buy from established suppliers and prefer those that publish modern slavery statements.
(d) Risk areas
Our overall risk is low. The areas we watch are any subcontracted labour (including labour for remedial works, if used) and manufactured goods such as electronics, PPE and building products with global supply chains.
(e) Effectiveness
Each year we check and record: the percentage of new subcontractors with right-to-work and identity checks completed before first use (target 100%), the number of concerns raised and how they were handled, and whether supplier checks were done.
(f) Training
The director will complete modern slavery awareness training before the first public-sector call-off contract starts, and will brief every subcontractor at induction on the signs of exploitation (people who seem controlled by others, have no ID, live at their workplace or show fear or injury). Concerns are handled under our Safeguarding Policy and can be reported to the Modern Slavery and Exploitation Helpline (08000 121 700) or, in an emergency, to the police on 999.
Approved by Oluwafemi Adeoye, Director, on 23 October 2026.
